The CSR8510 A10, commonly known as a 'Bluetooth 4.0 CSR 4.0 Dongle Adapter,' can have issues with Windows' generic Bluetooth drivers. Windows XP/Vista/7 may not allow this device to connect properly with generic drivers. Despite being an extremely common item on ebay, product identification and support appear rather non-existent. So, I've decided to share these files to help fellow users. Simply unzip, install, and enjoy!
For the story, CSR8510 A10 chip is a dual-mode chip. On your dongle, and mine ('It Works' - Micro Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter from Darty in France), the dongle boot in HID mode by default (VID 0A12 PID 100B). Even with a Linux computer, i could'nt get the dongle to work in HCI mode (Bluetooth mode so - VID 0A12 PID 0001). But I don't believe that detail is important here, since I get connected without doing so. I hate Windows 10. So I am trying desperately to get it connected in Windows 7. I tried downloading various other CSR Harmony drivers on this forum and other places. I have even tried just using the Windows 7 bluetooth drivers.
